Whole Food Nutrition

Basic to both prevention and treatment is nutrition. By nutrition I mean both clean and well nourished cells throughout the body, and moreover a healthy and clean intestinal system with good absortion. In the treatment of almost all chronic illnesses, degenerative diseases, and complex constellation syndromes (such as Fibromyalgia, Chronic Immune Deficiency syndrome, or Cancer), I have found that addressing a persons intestinal health, digestion, absorption, and nutrient intake essential. For more on this subject, see "Understanding Chronic Illness". In our integrated East West Clinic, we do extensive testing for food allergies, intestinal disbiosis (Candita and Parasites), intestinal permeability, and liver detoxification/oxidative factors. However, the tests are costly, often not covered by insurance, and end up with the same basic nutritional treatment protocols as would be recommended beforehand on the basis of a careful history, intake, and questionning. That is, the treatment incorporates basic nutritional and cleansing concepts for almost anyone. This includes  digestive enzymes of high quality food source (these survive the Stomach acid "bath" better than synthetic enzymes), probiotics (acidophylis and the other associated friendly bacterias), antioxidants (especially a synergestic blend), soluable and insoluable fiber, a high quality multi vitamin, detoxification cofactor aids, and if nesesary, permeabity factors such as Glutamine.

A problem becomes apparrent, however, when the patient is overdosed with literally 5-7 different bottles of pills to achieve this along with other herbs and nutrients for their specific symptoms.I have come to call this the "Shopping bag syndrome",  in refference to the bags full of nutritional supplements people accumulate. An example would be the patient with Fibromyalgia who is given a mutivitamin, a digestive enzyme, Quercitin (natural anti-inflamatory), Grape seed extract (Antioxidant), MSN (for microcirculation), St Johns Wart (or comprable Sleep herb),Glucosimine Sulfate (anti-arthritic), Echinacia (Lymphatic cleanser), and Ginko Bilboa (aid circulation), not to mention drugs such as a muscle relaxant, antidepressant,
and/or other medical managements.

The solution to simplify this lies in Natures wisdom. That is whole food supplementation and the use of  tailored  herb formulas that can work together synergistically to address to overall pattern of a person in a prioritized manner.

Specifically in regard to one such whole food supplement  which is flash dried fresh fruit and vegetable juices (17 different nutrient dense fruits and vegetables) concentrated into a powder form, with additional food enzymes, fiber, probiotics (acidophylis) added, in the convenience of a capsule.  I have found it to bridge a gap between the  raw food school of thought and the mostly cooked food T.C.M./Macrobiotics school of thought. Here is something that can provide the life giving enzymes, fresh fruit and vegetables, and yet not damage the digestive tract with an over abundance of cold raw foods. In fact, from my observations of myself and others who are using it, it greatly benefits the digestive function, the immune function,
energy level, and all the associated chronic patterns associated with poor digestion, poor absorption and consequent poor nutrition.  This is based on its effects in clinic as well as an understanding of its main constituents, i.e. anti-oxidants, enzymes, nutrients, fiber, probiotics, detoxification factors (calcium D-Gluterate), as well as the individual vegetables & fruits it contains.

The bottom line is that this product allows an easy way to clean up one's diet that is workable for the modern too busy person, and allows all the other herbs/treatments/etc. to work better. I invite you to try the product. For more information how to order direct at a prefferred rate, about $1.25 per day, please contact me (email), , or phone(808) 885-4734
