Beautiful video about the South African concept of Ubuntu: I am because we are. I've read about Ubuntu quite a bit, but loved the new and beautiful descriptions in this video. Credo Mutwa (traditional sangoma) said "Ubuntu is nothing more or less than compassion brought into colorful practice".

Wits University in South Africa has launched a degree for sangomas - African shamans. They are possessed by the ancestral spirits during frenzied trances to guide their diagnoses. They throw the bones and point finger at enemies. They dispense potions form plant and animal (sometimes human) origin for their spiritual significance. This is wrong.

Asterisk + SS7 Setup and Installation

From last few days I am trying to set up Asterisk + SS7 with Sangoma A102 card on my Ubuntu 8.04 machine. This being my first time with Asterisk I was bit skeptical of things and was wondering if it will be smooth? Well, it wasn't really out-of-box, but it wasn't tough either.
